SONY Wear Resistance Test Method (Rubber Friction Test Method)
1. Summary:
By utilizing the wear resistance of rubber, the wear resistance strength of coated products can be quickly and easily determined.
2. Experimental equipment:
1) Testing Machine: Rubber Wear Tester (SONY)
2) Rubber: Made by Taguchi Rubber Industry Co., Ltd. (issued by the Structural Design Technical Committee Affairs Bureau)
Rubber storage method: In order to prevent deterioration caused by temperature and humidity changes, or deterioration caused by ultraviolet rays of sunlight, as well as deterioration caused by ozone in the atmosphere, it should be placed in a bottle that can block the entry and exit of air and stored in a dark place at room temperature (such as a moisture-proof cabinet, etc.)
3) Sandpaper: # 400
3. Test method:
1) Fix the test piece onto the fixture of the testing machine, and ensure that the fixed test piece does not deform.
2) During each experiment, please use sandpaper to smooth and clean the front end of the rubber. In order to expose the front end by about 1.3mm, use a fixture to install and fit it into the bracket that holds the rubber, and then fix the bracket that holds the rubber to the reciprocating movable part of the testing machine.
3) Put on the weight and apply 16.1 to the rubber±A load of 0.05N.
4) Use a travel distance of 25.4mm, a speed of 1 round-trip in 2 seconds, and the number of friction cycles.
PT-1: 100 round trip, PT-2:65 round trip, PT-3: -
MT-1:300 round trip, MT-2:200 round trip, MT-3: -
